    Comments: Years have slipped by like whitecaps on a voyage. Would like to say hello to other shipmates. I'd like to try to find some of my old friends from my 6th Division, and others that remember working with me. I still have my 66-67 Cruise Book, plus numerous pics from my tours.

    Comments: 1/31/11. My dear friend, THEODORE "TED" MILES, a plank owner of the USS Canberra, died peacefully at his home today. His loving family was with him when he cast off. Ted was aboard from the 1943 commissioning till his discharge in 1945.

    Comments: Just looking for old ship mates, that served with me on board. From Norfolk to San Diego, and Vietnam. I went From 1st div to S-3 div. I left Canberra as a SH1 in Aug 1968

    Comments: Just logging in to notify all that my brother, James Mueller, who served on the USS Canberra in the 1960's, passed away in May, 2010. He told me he was off the coast of Vietnam 3 times during his tour of duty.

    Comments: My father served on the Canberra in 1960 during the round the world cruise. Come to find out, my father-in-law may have too. Both are deceased, but our families are trying to find out if they served together (not knowing they would later be related by marriage). Please let me know how I find the roster of the 1960 cruise.

    Comments: I AM TOLD THAT MY FRIEND, H. F. JOHNSON, WHEN HE LEFT THE USS NICHOLAS REPORTED ON BOARD USS CANBERRA SOME WHERE AROUND 1968-1969.

    I THINK HE CAME ON BOARD AS GM1 OR POSSIBLY A GMC. I AM ASKING WHATEVER GUNNERS MATES YOU HAVE IN YOUR ASSOCIATION DURING THAT PERIOD, TO PLEASE E-MAIL ME ANY INFO THEY MAY HAVE AS TO WHERE JOHNSON WENT AFTER SERVING ON USS CANBERRA.
