    Comments: Served in OE Division early summer '58 through spring of '62. Made the World Cruise 1960 - awesome! My main job on the Can-Do was trying to keep the height finding radar set working. Would like to e-mail others who were in OE Division, or others in Operations Department.

    Comments: I served from the time she left NY Shipbuilding in Camden, NJ. I ran the Aft engine room. I left the Canberra and went to the USS Krauss about 1961. I was on the USS Canberra CAG 2 about 1957 to 1961.

    Comments: Has anyone heard anything about when or where this year's reunion will be? I was a plank owner when she was recommissioned in '56 and am interested in trying to make the next reunion if it's going to be somewhere in the South or East coast.

    Comments: Was going through some of my photos and found one with a Cruiser hull number 2. Could not figure who she was and finally came across your site. I have no idea where the photo was taken but it was taken from the USS Mount Mckinley AGC7.     Comments: Great site and my thanks for keeping our ship afloat at least in our memories. I served aboard 62/64 in OR Div. Was wondering why the Cuban Missile crisis wasn't mentioned in the history section. Thanks again.

    Comments: I found a shell from the U.S.S. Canberra. It was made in 11/1945 50-cal it also has a plaque engraved on it saying INTERNATIONAL FLEET REVIEW U.S.S.CANBERRA 12 JUNE 1957 C.D.N.

    Comments: I called the Canberra home for 3-1/2 years from late 56 till June 60. She was a fine lady and I was sorry to hear that she was scrapped. Would like to hear from old shipmates.

    Comments: Served in E div. for the last two deployments 1967-69. Any other E div members from that period? I have a lot of memories. Freezing off of Korea for a month at the start of "TET" for one. Does anyone remember the powder charge explosion in the ready room two decks above the E div compartment?

    Comments: Ahoy Shipmates Looking forward to 2001 reunion haven?t been to one since 1991. I served on the KanDo from 1959 to 1961 in S-1 Div. We are trying to get about five of us together Curt Allen, Ben Akers, Ken Caves, and Rowland Keenan. We have finally located each other through the Canberra Reunion Assoc. We are trying to locate Bob Barton and Tom Leary could use some help. Thanks for all of the good work you guys do. I am getting back together with my old Buddies.
