Made 1960 World Cruise. Became Golden Shellback, attended 1960 Olympics in Rome. Money could not buy my experiences on board the Canberra. Will always remember the Seventh Division deck crew and Holy Stoning.

It is sad to think that the USS Canberra reunion organization will no longer be. I remember Lon Hurt, a longtime member, lamenting that he was disappointed he did not know the organization existed while we were on active duty. I hope the new USS Canberra crew is aware of this group and can consider their options.
