I do remember the Canberra fondly and all in the E-Div. At this time however most of my shipmates from 1960/63 are passed on. Bless their soul.

Comments: My Dad, Larry Paul Quiroga, served in the US Navy and was on the USS Canberra 1967-1968 to Vietnam. He served as a telecommunications officer. He passed away in 2015, but I remember some time before he had come by a website that showed pictures of him partaking in a band on the ship. I was wondering if anyone knew a link to that website? I haven't been able to find it again and would like to look at my Dads history. Thanks!

Comments: With the 75th anniversary of D-Day coming up this week, even though I grew up on the other side of the allied front, I vividly remember the American Army rolling into our village in April of 1945 in Southern Germany. All this was possible by the sacrifices of those who landed on the beaches of Normandy, many losing their lives or were forever crippled, in body and soul. Look up President Reagan's address at Point du Hoc on U-Tube, it is gripping your mind and soul.

    Email: Lil.sarbear06@gmail.com
    Location: Las Vegas, NV

Comments: I would just like to thank Ken and everyone who works the newsletter for the pictures you posted of Pop ("Charlie Koestner") in the spring newsletter. The reunions and the Canberra Association mean a great deal to him--a fact easily observed by the numerous pictures, memorabilia, and souvenir ceramic mugs throughout his house.
There isn't a day that passes that I don't think of him and miss him tremendously. So I just wanted to share my sincere thanks in the consideration and remembrance you have shown to him. Thank you. Thank you so much for all the work that was always put into making the reunions memorable, educational, and always enjoyable--from traveling to the hotels beforehand to check out the room accessibility, to folding and smoothing the crease of the fold on all the formal dinner pamphlets that are neatly set around each table. (I have a binder of those pamphlets along with many years of newsletters, all carefully saved and stored in page protectors, (lol.) Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Comments: The reason that entries were not entered is the reCAPTCHA was out of date and wouldn't let anyone put one in.
I recently discovered it and had it fixed.

Comments: Why has there been no entry in the log book since April 2018? Is there no one to take care of it or is the Log Book dormant or were there no submittals.
